Fire Safety Signs

The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations have been in force since1996 and relate to the use of fire safety signage in all places where people are employed. A brief summary of the law states:

Signs must be used when there is a risk which can't be controlled by other means
Signs must be of a specified type and must contain a pictogram
Signs must be properly maintained and adequately lit

Emergency Lighting

The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations, requires that exit and safety signs are to be illuminated by emergency lighting.

It's not unlikely in the event of an emergency that the supply to normal lighting will fail, so it's crucial to have luminaries in place to provide instant lighting to enable the safe exit from a building for a minimum of three hours.

A full range of high quality maintained and non-maintained luminaries complement Firetecnics™ control panels.

Luminaries are available as self contained or slave units for central battery or static inverter systems.

Fire Evacuation Drills & Procedures

Firetecnics™ approach to an emergency evacuation is designed to protect several aspects of a business as well as comply with the statutory requirements applicable to building owners.
